Ko Phangan is in the Andaman Sea just off Samui
The small island had very scenic parts but the full moon party made this island famous and the fact that the authorities lets the tourists do what
they want during the celebrations, nobody run around and check what you might
smoke or whatever you get into your system
This beautiful island in the Gulf of Thailand which is part of the Andaman Sea

is something special. This spot in the ocean is a few miles further out behind Ko Samui and is especially known for the famous beach parties
starting in the late afternoon with an open end.
All kind of smoking stuff and other weird things are around
during the party, you might forget everything. Hot stuff producing a lot of
fantastic imaginations and not so hot stuff makes many happy during the beach
party, it let you forget the problems.
Many Beaches have breathtaking panoramas,
fine sand and limestone boulder. Myriads of restaurants (some
right on the beach) with the usual wide selection of tasty seafood, curries,
white meat and red meat (not so popular among Thais) give you any reason to
stay a while. Moving around is easy, rent a
car or a "motocyc" to reach most of the scenic spots.
There are around 10.000 permanent residents and the local
ones have their roots in the Malay Peninsula and southern China. It is not
known when the first came to the island. Main subjects are beaches, hotels and
resorts plus restaurants with different food.
